This is a busy week for us. I'm getting ready to go to the ACFW conference in Indianapolis, IN. That's American Christian Fiction Writers. I got a full scholarship after asking the Lord if He reeeeeeally wanted me to go. I guess He does.
It's not easy going away and leaving Anna. I know she'll keep asking for me and wondering where I am. And I'll worry she's having a massive seizure and going to the hospital. But if I didn't go away from time to time, I'd go complete out of my mind.
I haven't started to pack yet. When I do, Anna will somehow know, even though the suitcase will be out of her sight, and start asking to "go see Grandmom," which means she thinks SHE'S going, too. See, Anna doesn't say things like we do. "Go see Grandmom" means she wants to go somewhere or she wants to go to the beach. "Want some" means she's hungry. "Yucky" means the bathroom. "You all right?" or "You fall down?" or "You bumped?" means she's hurting somewhere. "Rewind" means she wants a video on her TV. If you didn't know, you'd have no idea how to deal with her.
She had her staples taken out on Thursday. Did fairly well.
She stayed in the nursery at our new church for the first time on Sunday without me. Only had 2 seizures and the nursery ladies handled them both.
Mary is back in college – her junior year.
Daryl has 4 more years to go before he's able to retire, if he chooses to.
I've started a new children's book series for ages 2-4. All the characters are robots.
It's my mother-in-law's birthday. She's a wonderful MIL and Mom Mom.
So, it's a busy time for all of us. Thanks for hanging in with me for almost a year. I appreciate your support and encouragement. And please pray for me come Thursday. I'm driving alone, with only two Jane Austen novels on CD to keep me company unless there's a miracle and my friend can come with me, after all.
